Surprise your friends peeking in on the light: serve up a crunchy, sweet cornflake ice cream for dessert!
It is necessary
- For 5 servings:
- - 35 g of coconut;
- - 0.5 tsp cinnamon;
- - 60 g of corn flakes;
- - 4 tsp honey;
- - 0.5 tbsp. milk;
- - 175 ml of vegetable oil;
- - 1 egg;
- - 500 g vanilla ice cream.
Instructions
Step 1
Prepare the ice cream: remove it from the freezer and let it melt slightly so that you can form balls using a special spoon or two ordinary tablespoons. Place them on a parchment paper lined surface and refrigerate for an hour.
Step 2
Grind the corn flakes: put in a bag, wrap in a towel and roll a rolling pin over them a couple of times. Then add coconut and cinnamon to the crushed flakes. Mix thoroughly right in the bag and pour into a spacious plate: it should be convenient for you to quickly roll the breadcrumbs of ice cream!
Step 3
In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg and some milk using a hand whisk.
Step 4
Prepare a spoon or spatula and remove the ice cream balls from the freezer. Roll them quickly, first in the breadcrumbs, then in the egg, and again in the breadcrumbs. Help yourself with a spatula or spoon: the warmth of your hands will melt the ice cream very quickly! Put it back on the parchment and send it back to the freezer for a couple of hours.
Step 5
Heat oil in a skillet as you would for deep fat frying. Put the blanks there in turn and fry until golden brown on all sides (about 25 seconds), remembering to turn it over carefully! Serve immediately with your favorite toppings, such as cream, runny honey, or chocolate topping.
