Not everyone loves kvass, kefir and whey, on which okroshka is usually made. But it doesn't matter, cold summer soup can be cooked with water, and even with mineral water.
You will need: regular tap water, bottled or mineral water, boiled sausage, you can take sausages or small sausages, you also need eggs, fresh cucumbers, potatoes, onions and parsley with dill, lemon, salt, sour cream or mayonnaise. For an amateur, you can add sauerkraut.
Take all products in the proportion you like. Start by boiling eggs and potatoes. Then cool them down and cut into cubes. Cut the sausage in the same way. Mix and add cucumbers. You can cut them in different ways and even grate them on a coarse grater. Add chopped greens. Mix everything, salt to taste. You will have a salad.
Water for okroshka must be cooled in the refrigerator in advance. If you use tap water, boil it first. Pour water over your salad, squeeze lemon juice and add to okroshka for sourness. If you take sauerkraut, then the lemon is not needed. Add salt, if necessary, add sour cream or mayonnaise, stir and let it brew in the refrigerator. Serve with brown bread.
Useful Tips
To keep okroshka cold for a long time, put a couple of ice cubes in it when serving.
Be sure to put dill and green onions in okroshka, without them real okroshka will not work.
You can add radish to okroshka, it gives a special aroma.
