If you love herring and want to make a salad out of it, then you don't have to limit yourself to the famous "fur coat". You can cook a wonderful dish that is much easier to prepare than many salads, and is in no way inferior to them in taste.
It is necessary
- - Herring - 1 pc.;
- - Large potatoes - 2 pcs.;
- - Carrots - 1 pc.;
- - Onions - 1 pc.;
- - Chicken eggs - 2 pcs.;
- - Green onions - 0.5 bunch;
- - Provencal mayonnaise - 2 tbsp. l. with a slide;
- - Ground black pepper - 2-3 pinches;
- - Salt - 2-3 pinches.
Instructions
Step 1
Rinse the potatoes and carrots, put them in a pot of water, bring to a boil and cook them in their skins at moderate temperature until tender. After that, drain the water and cool the vegetables. Dip the chicken eggs in a separate saucepan or ladle and cook in salted water for 10 minutes after boiling.
Step 2
Cut off the head and tail of the herring. Use a knife to rip open the abdomen and peel off the entrails and black film. Remove the skin and ridge while using your fingers to grab as many bones as possible. Cut the herring into small pieces, removing any remaining pits.
Step 3
Peel the potatoes and carrots and chop them into small cubes. Peel chicken eggs and chop finely. Remove the husk from onions and divide them into thin half rings.
Step 4
Transfer the chopped herring, potatoes, onions, eggs and carrots to a salad bowl, mix them, add black pepper and salt and season with mayonnaise. Garnish the finished salad with chopped green onions.
