French fries are a popular all over the world dish that is loved by both adults and children. You can taste it in almost any fast food restaurant or cafe. But why spend money when French fries can be easily cooked in a multicooker, especially since the preparation of this dish does not require a lot of ingredients.

It is necessary

  • - 6-7 large potatoes (soft varieties);
  • - 1 liter of sunflower oil (better deodorized);
  • - finely ground salt to taste.

Instructions

Step 1

We clean the potatoes and cut them into neat 1 cm thick plates, and each plate into long strips of the same thickness.

Step 2

We wash the potatoes cut into cubes, put them on a paper towel and dry them as much as possible. Then we put the potatoes in the freezer for 2 hours. When frozen, the product changes its structure, so after frying it becomes soft on the inside and crispy on the outside.

Step 3

We take out the frozen potatoes and let them lie down for a while (about 2-3 minutes so that the potatoes do not start to thaw).

Step 4

Pour oil into the multicooker bowl. It should be noted that the oil level should not reach the edge of the grill, only half covering it. We turn on the multicooker in the “Frying” or “Baking” mode, set the temperature to 200 degrees and wait for the oil to boil.

Step 5

We carefully lower a special grate for deep-frying with chopped potatoes into a container with heated oil and cook it for about 12-15 minutes, do not close the multicooker lid and observe the cooking process throughout the entire time.

Step 6

After the potatoes acquire a golden-fried hue, they must be quickly removed from the deep fat. To remove excess fat, spread the potatoes on paper towels, folded in several layers.

Step 7

Sprinkle the potatoes with fine salt and serve them as an independent dish with ketchup or as a side dish for meat.
