Tuna is one of the most popular fish in cuisines around the world. Tuna meat is very tasty, and its nutritional value is not inferior to beef. It is also an excellent source of Omega-3 unsaturated fatty acids, which are essential for brain and cardiovascular health. It is for these reasons that the meat of this fish is often preferred in oriental cuisine.

It is necessary

  • - 1 medium-sized tuna (2-2.5 kg);
  • - half an orange;
  • - ½ cup soy sauce;
  • - 300 grams of onions;
  • - 150 grams of hard cheese;
  • - 1 glass of milk;
  • - 1 tbsp. a spoonful of starch;
  • - 1 tbsp. a spoonful of wine vinegar;
  • - a small piece of fresh ginger.

Instructions

Step 1

Gut the tuna, rinse and cut into steaks 3-3.5 cm thick.

Step 2

Mix together the soy sauce, the juice of one half of an orange, and the wine vinegar. In a deep bowl, pour the resulting marinade over the steaks and leave for 10 minutes.

Step 3

Place the tuna slices on a deep baking sheet, cover with foil and place in the oven. Bake for 50 minutes at 200 degrees. Remove the foil after the first 30 minutes.

Step 4

For the sauce, fry the onion cut into half rings in a skillet until golden brown. Move the onion to the side and lightly fry the finely chopped ginger (2-3 minutes).

Step 5

Stir starch in milk, pour everything into a frying pan and let it boil for 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Add grated cheese and simmer for another 2 minutes.

Step 6

Put the tuna on plates, pour over the sauce and serve.
