Octopuses are representatives of cephalopods. In the East, they are quite widely used in cooking - they make sushi, salads, which differ in nutritional value, unusual taste, and also have a positive effect on the body.
It is necessary
- - 800 g of moscardini octopuses;
- - 1/3 cup olive oil;
- - 2 cloves of garlic;
- - 1 pod of sweet red pepper;
- - 1 tablespoon Thai sweet chili sauce;
- - coriander greens - to taste;
- - 2 tablespoons of lemon juice.
Instructions
Step 1
Buy small octopuses (moscardini). For the preparation of salads, it is most convenient to use just such. The octopuses must be cleaned well, the head and beak must be removed with a sharp knife, and the cartilage removed. Rinse the octopus carcass thoroughly under running water. The meat can be boiled for about half an hour - this should be done over medium heat. As a result, it turns pink. Boiled octopus meat can be added to cooking dishes without additional processing - for example, in salads, snacks. More popular are salads with marinated octopus meat.
Step 2
Octopuses can be purchased pre-pickled in the store or pickled yourself. To put home-marinated octopus meat in a salad, you must start the process in advance, about three hours before preparing the salad. Prepare a container large enough for the salad ingredients to mix comfortably. Mix the peeled octopuses with vegetable oil, add chopped garlic. Now cover the container with plastic wrap and set it aside for a couple of hours to marinate the octopus.
Step 3
Take a large grill pan and preheat it well. When it warms up, start frying the octopuses - in small batches, about 5 minutes each, or until tender. Chop the pepper or chop, chop the coriander greens. Combine bell peppers, herbs and chili sauce in a separate container, add lemon juice, put fried octopuses in the mixture. Stir everything together. Transfer the prepared salad to a salad bowl. It can be served either cold or warm.
