Sometimes there is absolutely no time or money to prepare complex multicomponent desserts, but it is the cake that is needed. "Banana box" refers to the versatile baked goods from the "if guests are on the doorstep" series.

Step 1

Turn the oven to 200 degrees. While it is warming up, prepare the biscuit dough. It will become the base of the cake. Separate the whites from the yolks. The yolks must not get into the whites. Slowly adding half of the sugar, beat the proteins until stable peaks. This means that the squirrels do not fall off and keep their shape when the mixer beaters are pulled out. In order for the whites to whisk better, they must be fresh, chilled, and the dishes must be clean until they squeak. Before whipping, you can add a couple of drops of lemon juice or a few grains of salt to the whites. Whisk the yolks with the remaining sugar that you have measured to make the dough. The mixture should double in size. Now carefully mix the whipped whites and yolks, sprinkling flour in small portions, stir the dough from top to bottom with a spoon, being careful not to deprive the dough of its airiness. Line the baking sheet with baking paper or parchment. Lubricate only the bottom with a piece of margarine or butter. If you lubricate the sides of the mold, the biscuit will rise worse. We send the biscuit to the oven for 25 minutes. Remove the finished cake from the mold and cool.

Step 2

Whisk the sour cream and sugar. Cut the bananas into slices. Cut off a thin layer of the biscuit - this is the "lid". Remove the crumb from most of the biscuit and mix with the cream and bananas until the sides and bottom of the biscuit remain intact. Fill the "box" with a sweet mass of crumb and cream, cover with a "lid".

Step 3

The cake can be decorated with any cream, icing or powdered sugar on top. Leave the cake to infuse for at least an hour. But if there is no time left, you can immediately serve it to the table. The cake is very juicy.
