    • For filling:
    • 500 g apples;
    • 500 g pumpkin pulp;
    • 30 g butter;
    • 1 tbsp starch;
    • 1 tsp cinnamon;
    • grated zest of 1 lemon.

Step 1

Pre-chill all ingredients to prepare the dough. Sift the flour through a sieve onto a cutting board or other work surface. Cut the chilled butter into small cubes and mix with flour, make a slide out of this mixture with a depression in the center. Pour a glass of sour cream into it, add a pinch of salt and knead the dough thoroughly so that no lumps remain. Roll the finished dough into a ball, place in a food plastic bag or wrap in foil and refrigerate for 30-40 minutes.

Prepare the filling for the patties. To do this, wash and peel the apples by removing the core. Cut the pumpkin in half, remove the seeds and inner pulp. Wash the lemon and peel it off. Cut a part of the pumpkin into several large pieces, remove the skin from them with a knife, grate the pulp together with peeled apples on a coarse grater. Add softened butter to the filling, add one tablespoon of starch, a teaspoon of cinnamon, grated lemon zest, mix everything well. Transfer the filling to a saucepan or deep frying pan, pour in one tablespoon of hot boiled water and simmer covered over low heat for 10 minutes. Then remove from heat and cool to room temperature.

Roll out the chilled dough on a floured work surface, use a mold to cut out circles with a diameter of about 10 cm. Place 1-2 teaspoons of the filling in the middle of each circle, connect and pinch the edges, giving the pies an oval or semicircular shape.

Step 4

Preheat the oven to a temperature of 220 ° C. Lightly sprinkle a baking sheet with flour, put the prepared pies on it, place in the oven and bake for 20 minutes. Let the finished pies cool, then sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve with tea.
