Lime in our diet more and more takes a fairly active position. Its unique aroma with a slight bitterness perfectly complements any baked goods. This lime cake with icing turns out to be incredibly rich and tasty.
It is necessary
- - 200 g of icing sugar;
- - 150 g wheat flour;
- - 130 g of sugar;
- - 125 ml of yogurt;
- - 75 g butter or margarine;
- - 2 eggs;
- - 1 lime;
- - baking powder, salt.

Step 1
This lime cake has a firm but pleasant texture, slightly moist. The glaze sets a special tone here - a little festive. Of course, it is better to use butter, but margarine will work as well.
Step 2
Rinse the fresh lime, roll it a little on the table, pressing firmly with your palm. This way you can extract more juice from the fruit. Grater the zest from the lime.
Step 3
Melt butter or margarine, let cool slightly. Add unflavored yogurt, whisk lightly. Add eggs, sugar, beat again. After that, you can add lime zest, a pinch of salt to the mass.
Step 4
Sift flour and baking powder into the cake mass. Stir. Place the dough in a baking dish lined with parchment paper.
Step 5
Bake at 180 degrees for about half an hour, then remove the lime cake from the oven, let it cool.
Step 6
Squeeze out more juice from the lime, mix it with powdered sugar - this will be the icing for the cake. Pour the finished cake with it, wait until the icing hardens. Then you can serve.
