Biscotti is a pastry from Italy, which is a baked biscuit with a curved and long shape. Translated from Italian means twice baked. After cooling, the biscotti with almonds becomes very hard, as it should be, they resemble our crackers with raisins.
It is necessary
- For four servings:
- - 400 g of wheat flour;
- - 200 g of sugar;
- - 150 g of almonds;
- - 50 g dried cranberries;
- - 4 eggs;
- - 1 teaspoon of salt, baking powder;
- - vanillin to taste.
Instructions
Step 1
Mix flour with salt, sugar, baking powder. Separate the yolk from one egg, the white will still be useful to us. Beat three whole eggs and yolk with a fork, vanillin, 1 tbsp. a spoonful of water.
Step 2
Dry the almonds in the oven at 160 degrees, it should turn slightly brown. Let the finished almonds cool and chop coarsely after that.
Step 3
Pour the egg mixture into a bowl of flour, knead a dense dough with your hands, add dried cranberries with almonds, mix.
Step 4
Divide the resulting dough into three equal portions. Roll out the sausages 4 centimeters thick, place them on a baking sheet, brush with the remaining whipped egg white. Bake for half an hour at 180 degrees until golden brown.
Step 5
Cool the finished biscotti with almonds, cut them obliquely with a sharp knife into 1 cm thick slices, send them back to the oven for 10 minutes. Cool completely and serve.
