To make the garnish tasty and juicy, you need to choose the right pumpkin. It must be heavy and uniform in color. Fresh vegetables should be firm. And, of course, you cannot cook a dish from a fruit with spots and mold.

First you need to properly prepare the pumpkin, because sometimes it is not so easy to cut it. The vegetable is washed, wiped, cut into two parts and all the seeds are removed so that only the pulp remains. If the fruit is young, it is cooked together with the peel, and it is removed from the mature one. But this is difficult to do, so it is better to bake the pumpkin first.

To prepare a side dish for pumpkin meat, you need the following ingredients:

  • medium-sized pumpkin,
  • Provencal herbs,
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • olive oil, salt to taste.

The pumpkin is washed and cut in half, all the seeds are taken out and the vegetable is cut into thin slices. Lay foil on a baking sheet and lay the fruit. Garlic is used to make a seasoning: it is crushed, mixed with oil and Provencal herbs and smeared with pumpkin slices. The garnish is baked in the oven at 200 degrees for 20 minutes, then the pieces are turned over and cooked for another 20 minutes.

Other seasonings can be added to this dish: rosemary, dry thyme, fresh basil, black pepper, etc. And on a baking sheet, along with slices of pumpkin, put tomatoes and potatoes.
