There are many varieties of apple pie. One of them is an apple jam baking recipe. This cake turns out to be airy and tender and, of course, has a characteristic fruity taste.

To make a pie with apple jam, you will need: 450 g of wheat flour, 5 tbsp. l. granulated sugar, 50 g butter, 50 ml vegetable oil, 250 ml milk, 150 g apple jam, 1 chicken egg, 10 g vanilla sugar, 10 g dry yeast, 1/2 tsp. salt.

Jam is a distant relative of jam and preserves. The secret of its difference lies in the recipe for cooking: the jam is boiled with sugar until thick, often spices are added to it.

To make a jam pie, first prepare the ingredients for the yeast dough. Heat the milk over low heat, but do not bring to a boil, then pour it into a bowl and add dry yeast and granulated sugar in the required amount. After about 10 minutes, the yeast will begin to foam, at which time add the vanilla sugar and salt to it. Melt the butter over low heat or in a water bath and pour into the yeast mixture, also pour in the vegetable oil. Mix all ingredients thoroughly until smooth.

Sift wheat flour into the same bowl through a fine sieve. This procedure not only frees the product from various impurities, but also enriches the flour with oxygen, which will further affect the splendor of the cake. Stir the mixture and knead to a homogeneous dough, making sure that no lumps remain in it. Place the dough in a saucepan and cover with a food towel, then place the saucepan in a warm place, such as by the stove or a radiator. This is necessary for the yeast dough to rise.

After about 1 hour, when the volume of the dough has doubled, take it and divide it into 2 parts. Roll one part into a layer and put in a baking dish, previously oiled. Press the dough to the base and form a low side. Place the required amount of apple jam on the base, smooth the surface with a tablespoon or spatula.

Roll the second part of the dough into a layer, then cut the layer into strips 1, 5-2 centimeters thick. Place the strips in a crisscross pattern on the surface of the cake. Decorate the rim of the pie with a pigtail. Take a chicken egg and separate the yolk from the white. Beat the yolk lightly and brush over the dough decoration with it. Let the pie sit for 25-30 minutes at room temperature. At this time, light the oven to 180 ° C.

Place the apple jam pie in the oven and bake for 40-45 minutes. After the time has elapsed, remove it from the oven and cool.

The apple jam pie is ready! Serve it with hot tea, after cutting it into portions.
