Non-standard and slightly overgrown cucumbers can be used not only as salads, but also used for cooking lecho. A magnificent preparation for the winter will appeal to the whole family and will be a wonderful decoration for the New Year's table.
It is necessary
- - tomatoes - 2.5 kg
- - sweet peppers - 1 kg, or carrots (0.5 kg) and onions (0.5 kg)
- - hot pepper - 5 pods
- - sugar - 200 g
- - 6% vinegar - 100 g
- - vegetable oil - 200 g
- - salt - 3 tablespoons with top
- - cucumbers - 5 kg
- - garlic - 1 head
- - dill or parsley - 1 bunch
Instructions
Step 1
First, wash and peel all vegetables. Sterilize lids and jars ahead of time.
Step 2
Tomatoes (together with the skin), mince the bell peppers. Bell pepper is optional. You can also add carrots, onions and optionally cut tomatoes into small slices.
Step 3
Add sugar, salt, vinegar and oil. Mix everything.
Step 4
Put the resulting mass on fire. Use enamel dishes. Bring to a boil. Then cook for 15 minutes, reducing the flame slightly. Stir frequently to prevent the tomato and pepper mixture from burning.
Step 5
Then cut the cucumbers into thin slices and add to the hot mixture. Cook for another 10 minutes.
Step 6
Now you need to add some spice. Fans of a hot snack can use hot pepper ("light") and garlic at the same time. To add a light spice to the lecho, choose one of the ingredients.
Step 7
If desired, greens can also be added to the lecho. Dill or parsley should be added along with garlic / hot pepper.
Step 8
Arrange the lecho in the prepared jars, roll up, wrap up with a blanket or an old coat. Leave out of the reach of children until the jars are completely cool. From one such portion, 7-8 cans are obtained.
