Beef stroganoff is a delicious Russian dish based on meat with rich sour cream and tomato sauce. Despite the ease of preparation and the availability of ingredients, beef stroganoff is loved to be served on special occasions. But even on weekdays, food will come in handy, because almost any side dish is suitable for it.
It is necessary
- - beef pulp - 500 g;
- - onions - 3 pcs. small size;
- - sour cream - 150 g;
- - tomato paste - 1 tsp with a slide;
- - vegetable oil for frying;
- - ground black pepper;
- - salt;
- - flour - 1 tbsp. l. (optional).
Instructions
Step 1
Rinse the beef under running water and cut into cubes about 1, 5 cm wide. To speed up the cooking process, the meat must be slightly beaten. Spread the meat blocks on a cutting board and hammer on all sides with a hammer. Peel and chop the onions into thin quarter-rings.
Step 2
Take a frying pan, pour in vegetable oil. When it's warmed up, add the beef pieces and fry until golden brown. Then add about 100 ml of water to the skillet, bring to a boil, and then reduce the temperature to a minimum, cover and simmer until the beef is tender. Cooking time depends on the type of meat and varies from 20 to 40 minutes.
Step 3
When the meat is ready, and almost all the water has evaporated, add chopped onions, black pepper, salt to taste to the pan and simmer for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally. The bow should take on a beautiful golden hue.
Step 4
After the time has passed, add sour cream and pour in a few tablespoons of hot water. After 3 minutes, add the tomato paste, cover and cook for 5 minutes. The consistency of sour cream and tomato sauce is adjusted to taste. If it seems too thick to you, add a little more water, if it is thin, add a little flour.
Step 5
Remove the finished stroganoff from the stove and serve with your favorite side dish, sprinkling with fresh chopped herbs.
