Potato balls with caraway seeds can be served as a side dish for meat dishes, and it is also a great snack for beer. These balls are made from boiled potatoes and cottage cheese, so they turn out to be very tender, and dried caraway seeds add spice to the appetizer.
It is necessary
- - 300 g of potatoes;
- - 150 g of cottage cheese or homemade cheese;
- - 2 eggs;
- - 2 tbsp. tablespoons of rye flour;
- - 2 tbsp. spoons of bread crumbs;
- - 1 teaspoon of dried caraway seeds;
- - vegetable oil for frying.
Instructions
Step 1
Boil the potatoes in their uniforms, cool them, peel them.
Step 2
Pass the potatoes through a meat grinder along with cottage cheese or homemade cheese. Beat one raw egg into this mass, add dried cumin.
Step 3
Form small balls from the curd-potato mass, roll in rye flour.
Step 4
Beat the second egg a little with a whisk, dip the balls in it, then roll in breadcrumbs.
Step 5
Fry the balls in hot vegetable oil. Place on paper towels to drain off any excess fat.

Serve ready-made potato balls with caraway seeds hot as a side dish, cold as a snack.
