Cranahan is a Scottish dessert. Basically, this delicacy is served at all kinds of celebrations, for example, at a wedding. I suggest making it for breakfast. It is quite satisfying and tasty.

It is necessary

  • - oatmeal - 1 glass;
  • - sugar - 3 tablespoons;
  • - mint - 1 bunch;
  • - honey - 3 tablespoons;
  • - cream - 50 ml;
  • - raspberries - 100 g.

Instructions

Step 1

Lubricate a clean, dry skillet with olive oil and sprinkle the oatmeal onto it. Place on the stove and cook for 10 minutes, stirring constantly. Please note that instant oatmeal should not be used to make kranahan.

Step 2

After 10 minutes have passed, add a tablespoon of granulated sugar to the fried oatmeal in the pan. It is best to adjust the amount to your liking. Cook the resulting mixture, stirring continuously, until the flakes are caramelized.

Step 3

Rinse the mint thoroughly and then let it dry completely. Then take a few leaves from a bunch and grind them, mixing with a tablespoon of granulated sugar, using a blender.

Step 4

Put the resulting mint-sugar mass to the caramelized oatmeal. Mix everything as it should.

Step 5

Place the curd in a separate, fairly deep bowl and top with the cream. Mix everything thoroughly until the curd becomes granular. Once this happens, inject it into the rest of the mass. Mix everything well with a spoon.

Step 6

Spread the resulting mass in bowls or glass glasses. Sprinkle honey on top. You can also decorate the dessert with a small amount of caramelized oatmeal, berries and the remaining mint. Cranahan is ready!
