How to quench your thirst in the summer? Of course, kvass! He is the best at this task. And, in order not to run around the shops in search of a refreshing drink in the heat, make delicious homemade kvass at home. It will also come in handy for cooking okroshka. The most popular is bread kvass. We will cook it.

- 1 loaf of rye bread
- 200 gr. Sahara
- 100 g raisins
- 5 gr. dry yeast
- 3 l. water
- three-liter jar.
Instructions
Step 1
Make rye bread crumbs. Borodino bread is best suited. Cut the bread into pieces and bake in the oven until golden brown.
Step 2
Take a three-liter jar and put crackers in it. Pour hot boiled water over them and leave to cool.
Step 3
Dissolve yeast in warm boiled water and pour into warm infusion of bread and water. Then sugar and stir everything. Cover with gauze or a special perforated lid. Leave it all to roam overnight.
Step 4
Strain the kvass in the morning through cheesecloth or a sieve into a separate container. Taste and add sugar if you don't like it. Transfer the remaining bread back to the jar.
Step 5
Wash the plastic bottles, throw 3-4 raisins on the bottom and pour the kvass. Put the bottles in the refrigerator. The kvass will be ready in a day.
Step 6
Pour cold water back into the jar with the remaining sourdough, add sugar, some more crackers and throw a handful of raisins into the jar. Kvass should ferment again. You can see bubbles playing in it. Repeat the procedure in the morning.
Step 7
So you can get delicious homemade kvass every day all summer. You can take a break and remove the starter culture for 2-3 days in the refrigerator, and then use it again.
