Baked turkey fillet is a very tender and juicy dish that is easy to prepare, quickly marinated and also quickly baked. It requires the minimum amount of the most affordable products that can be found in every refrigerator.
Ingredients:
- 250 ml of kefir;
- 1 lemon;
- a mixture of peppers;
- Provencal herbs;
- turkey fillet weighing 1, 2-1, 5 kg (one piece).
Preparation:
- Wash a piece of meat under running water, pat dry with paper towels and rub lightly with salt. Make small cuts in the prepared meat with a knife. In this case, the cuts should be over the entire surface of the meat and from all possible sides.
- Cut the lemon in half. Set one part aside for a while, and extract juice from the second part. Note that you do not need to extract juice, but simply cut half a lemon into thin slices.
- Combine kefir, juice from ½ part lemon or lemon wedge, spices and herbs in a deep container. Mix everything thoroughly until smooth. The finished kefir mass will become a marinade for meat.
- Dip a piece of turkey in the marinade, send it to the refrigerator and marinate for at least 3 hours. During this time, it is recommended to turn the meat over so that it is evenly marinated from all possible sides.
- Turn on the oven and heat up to 150-180 degrees.
- Remove the meat from the marinade, transfer to a piece of foil, wrap tightly, put in a baking dish and bake for 1 hour. At the same time, a large amount of juice will be released from the meat during baking. Do not be afraid, it should be so. This juice will also be present in baked meats.
- Remove the finished juicy turkey fillet from the oven, unfold, cool slightly, cut into thick slices, serve with a side dish or fresh vegetables.
