You are what you eat. Words that have not lost their popularity in our time. Many people forget that we need food for the body to function properly, not to fill the stomach. Eating all food indiscriminately can result in obesity, diabetes mellitus, vascular thrombosis, and so on. What foods have an extremely negative effect on human health and cause addiction, which can be compared with alcohol or drugs?

There are few people who do not like pizza with various fillings, hamburgers, fries, crispy chicken, and all this with a bite of Coca-Cola or other sweet soda. Various food additives such as flavors, sweeteners and flavor enhancers make people buy more and more of these products. Monosodium glutamate is one of the quickly addictive flavor enhancers. This is due to the fact that food additives strongly irritate the taste buds, so ordinary homemade food seems tasteless and unflavored after visiting a fast food cafe. How to get rid of addiction? Try to eliminate all instant foods as much as possible, replacing them with your usual homemade food. Taste buds, spoiled by harmful chemicals, will have to be taught again to the taste of soup, mashed potatoes, porridge and homemade salads, tea and compote instead of sweet soda.

They have already been discussed a little above. Sweet drinks with an abundance of bubbles have become true friends in today's youth. 2/3 of these carbonated drinks contain caffeine, which is several times higher than the permitted daily dose. In addition to caffeine, an artificial sugar substitute, aspartame, is added to carbonated drinks, which immediately after consumption causes a surge of strength and energy. Carbonated drink abuse can trigger regular headaches, vision problems, obesity, and memory impairments. Natural juices, green tea, compote and mineral water will be an excellent alternative to sweet soda.

This group of harmful products includes white bread, various baked goods, pasta from soft wheat, sweets, cakes and everything else. Eating such foods, a person contributes to a sharp increase in blood glucose levels, which also rapidly decreases. A couple of hours after a snack, the body may require another small piece of sweet. By the way, addiction to sugar is equated to narcotic, and the sugar molecule in its structure resembles a molecule of cocaine. It is not at all necessary to give up bread and other sweets, but it is very desirable to reduce the amount of sugars consumed in order to prevent weight gain and the development of diabetes mellitus.

When chocolate is consumed, the human body produces the hormone of happiness - serotonin. Its production is facilitated by 3 stimulants - sugar, theobromine and caffeine. The combination of such ingredients is really capable of raising the mood, vitality, and at the same time a great desire to break off another piece - another.

Hard cheeses contain 2 substances that negatively affect health: tryptophan, an amino acid that triggers the production of serotonin and casein, which, when broken down, forms some addictive opiates. In order for cheese to bring only benefits to the body, it is worth eating in small quantities, that is, the daily intake should not exceed 20-30 g. To minimize the harm from cheese, it is better to use it in combination with other ingredients, for example, in a salad with vegetables or in a casserole with pasta.
