Black and green tea is well known to us for a long time. Most of us are well versed in their basic properties, benefits, contraindications. But white tea is a less common drink, but in the meantime it is very useful.
The mountainous Chinese province of Fujian is considered the birthplace of white tea. The same bushes that were trying to grow in other localities gave raw materials that were not of high quality, no matter how diligently they looked after them.
Leaves from tea bushes are collected there in the spring, in the morning, trying to use technology, and human labor is used to a minimum. Thus, the most gentle processing of the leaves is achieved, and together with natural drying and withering, this amazing drink is obtained.
To obtain different varieties of white tea, different leaves are used, for example, only the buds of tea shoots or the upper leaves following the bud are collected. This gives different shades and taste of the finished drink - from almost white, transparent, to pale yellow.
The benefit of white tea is that this drink contains a large amount of vitamins and minerals. White tea lowers blood cholesterol levels, is a powerful antioxidant, and fights bacteria and fungi. White tea is considered a good remedy for maintaining youthful skin, as well as a remedy for obesity and cancer. But this is how white tea works only if it is not overdried, its "life" does not exceed a year, and it was also stored correctly.
It is difficult to name contraindications to the use of white tea, but still you should not drink too much even the most useful drink.
