Zucchini in dough, or in batter, is very simple and quick to prepare. The low calorie content of zucchini, high taste and the presence of a large amount of minerals useful for the body will make them an excellent dish on your table.

    • 3 young, medium-sized zucchini;
    • vegetable oil;
    • 1/2 tbsp. milk or cream;
    • 5 tbsp flour;
    • 2 eggs;
    • mayonnaise;
    • garlic;
    • salt
    • pepper
    • seasonings.

Step 1

Wash the zucchini and cut into rings about 0.5 cm thick. If you want, you can first cut off the crust from them. Then prepare the batter, for this, beat two eggs with milk and half a teaspoon of salt. The zucchini themselves are not salted, so the salt is put in the batter. Whisk the mixture, add flour to it and mix well.

Step 2

Put the pan on fire, pour in vegetable oil. When the oil warms up, dip the zucchini wedges in the batter and place in the pan. The thickness of the batter should be such that it does not drain from the zucchini.

Step 3

Fry the zucchini, occasionally turning them over in a skillet. When fried properly, a beautiful golden brown crust should form, but make sure that the zucchini slices do not burn.

Ready zucchini can be served sprinkled with herbs. But it is advisable to season them with sauce, since otherwise they turn out to be rather dry and bland. Prepare the sauce based on mayonnaise. Put the required amount of mayonnaise (determine it yourself) on a plate, add pepper and other spices - here you can experiment. Not bad, in particular, special kebab seasonings from a mixture of pepper and other ingredients are suitable.

Grate and add a few cloves of garlic to the sauce. Mix well, sprinkle with dill and parsley. When serving the finished dish, you can immediately pour the sauce over the zucchini or place the cup with it separately so that everyone at the table can add it to their liking.

Step 6

You can slightly modify the recipe: pour the sauce into the pan to the already fried zucchini, add a third of a glass of boiled water or milk. Let the dish simmer for 5-7 minutes over low heat. In this case, the zucchini will turn out to be very soft and juicy. This method is also recommended if the zucchini are clearly overcooked.

Zucchini in batter is a wonderful dish in itself, but it is even better to serve them with boiled or fried fish, boiled meat, chops, cutlets.
