Tarator. Agree, a very unusual name, by which you cannot even understand what kind of dish it is. In fact, the tarator is a Bulgarian fermented milk soup. I suggest you cook it.
It is necessary
- - natural yogurt - 500 ml;
- - small cucumbers - 4 pcs;
- - peeled walnuts - 0.5 cups;
- - garlic - 4 cloves;
- - dill - 6-8 branches;
- - sunflower oil - 100 ml;
- - salt.
Instructions
Step 1
Pour the natural yogurt into a separate bowl. Then beat it with a whisk or mixer for 4 minutes.
Step 2
With cucumbers, do this: rinse thoroughly, dry, then cut off the ends. Then cut them into thin strips and sprinkle with salt. This way the cucumbers will produce juice.
Step 3
Mix and grind the peeled garlic and half the walnuts in a mortar. As a result, you should have a homogeneous mixture that needs to be added to the yogurt. Pour in sunflower oil there and whisk everything again.
Step 4
The walnuts that remain must be crushed into crumbs. This can be done with a knife.
Step 5
To the mixture with yoghurt, add the cucumbers with the released juice, as well as chopped walnuts and chopped dill. Mix everything thoroughly and season with salt. If your soup is too thick, then just dilute it with cold boiled water. The tarator is ready!
