It is necessary

  • - cherry tomatoes - 2 kg;
  • - lemon - 1 pc.;
  • - lemon juice - 2 tablespoons;
  • - sugar - 850 g;
  • - anise - 1 star.

Instructions

Step 1

First of all, remove the skin from the surface of each tomato. This is done quite easily. After making cuts in each fruit, place the vegetables in a sufficiently deep bowl and pour boiling water over them. Leave the tomatoes in this state for a few seconds. After this procedure, the skin is removed without much difficulty.

Step 2

With the lemon, do the following: rinse it thoroughly, cut it into half rings.

Step 3

Take a saucepan that is the right size and place ingredients such as peeled tomatoes, lemon sliced into half rings, granulated sugar, and an anise star. Mix everything properly, then send it to the stove. When you bring the formed mass to a boil, it will start up the juice. Then reduce heat to low and cook the mixture on it for another 60 minutes.

Step 4

After an hour, after removing the resulting mass from the heat, set it aside and leave to stand at room temperature for at least 24 hours.

Step 5

When the day has passed, add the juice squeezed from lemon to the mass of tomatoes. Mix everything well, then put the mixture back on the stove and bring it to a boil. As soon as this happens, prepare the future jam, reducing the heat to low, for 60 minutes. Remember to stir it from time to time.

Step 6

Transfer the resulting mass to pre-sterilized jars and close them tightly. Tomato jam is ready!
