If the salt is 10%, then water, respectively, 90%. A twenty percent solution consists of 20% salt and 80% water; for a fifty percent solution, the components are taken in equal amounts. Do not take iodized salt unless specifically indicated in the recipe.

Step 3

Decide how much solution you want to get. Calculate the mass of each component. To calculate how much salt you need, multiply the total amount of the solution by the percentage of salt and divide everything by 100. Measure out the salt. Grinding does not matter in this case, but small crystals dissolve faster than large ones.

Step 4

The amount of water is calculated using the same formula, but instead of the percentage of salt, the total amount of the solution is multiplied by the percentage of water. There is nothing wrong with the fact that one ingredient is free-flowing and the other liquid, since 1 liter of water weighs 1 kg.

Step 5

Pour the amount of water that you received as a result of the calculations into a transparent jar. The solution can be made either from raw water or from boiled water. It is better if it is warm, this will speed up the process somewhat.

Step 6

Add the calculated amount of salt. Stir the solution until the salt is completely dissolved. The speed of the process will not be affected in any way by what exactly you interfere with, so the most ordinary spoon will do.
