Propolis is a sticky substance produced by honey bees. It can be considered a gift from nature, as it helps in the fight against many diseases. Propolis contains amino acids, vitamins, calcium, magnesium, zinc, selenium, iron and other trace elements. For internal use, an aqueous solution of propolis is used, which is not at all difficult to prepare.

It is necessary

    • 10 (50) grams of propolis;
    • 100 milliliters of water.

Instructions

Step 1

Before preparing the solution, put the propolis in the freezer of the refrigerator. After a while, it will become brittle and can be easily grated.

Step 2

The first method for preparing an aqueous solution of propolis. Boil water, pour it into a thermos. Add 10 grams of crushed propolis, close the lid. In a day, an aqueous solution of propolis will be ready for use.

Step 3

There is another way to prepare an aqueous solution of propolis. Pour 10 grams of crushed propolis into a cup of warm water. Heat the mixture in a water bath to 80 degrees (not higher), stir constantly. Keep the solution at the same temperature for 15-20 minutes, stirring in a water bath. Filter the resulting mixture and pour it into a container with dark or opaque glass, store the solution in the refrigerator. This aqueous solution can be stored for only one week.

Step 4

There is another way to prepare the solution, it can be stored in the refrigerator for 2, 5-3 months without adding any preservatives. To prepare it, take 50 grams of crushed propolis, fill it with warm water and simmer under a lid in a water bath for an hour, stirring occasionally. After that, strain the mixture and pour into a dark glass jar.

Step 5

An aqueous solution of propolis prepared by the above methods has a brown color and a pleasant smell. It can sediment, so it must be shaken before use.

Step 6

An aqueous solution can be prepared from propolis residues that remain after preparing an alcohol solution. Pour these residues with water in a 1: 2 ratio. Heat in a water bath to 80 degrees, stir constantly for 10 minutes. Then filter and pour into a dark glass jar. Such an aqueous solution of propolis has a yellowish brown color and a pleasant smell. You can store it in the refrigerator for 2 - 3 months, after this period the bactericidal effectiveness of the solution is lost.
