The main factor in making tasty and healthy tea from flowers is high-quality water with a hardness of up to 5 mol / cubic meter, spring water, from a well or bottled. The water is not brought to a boil. The temperature of the liquid is optimal when a chain of bubbles rises from the bottom of the kettle. Flower tea is brewed from 20 minutes to an hour, after which it can be mixed with regular black or green tea, brewed separately, to taste.
It is necessary
- - 1 liter of soft and clean water, without aftertaste and impurities;
- - a kettle for tea;
- - enamelled ladle for making flowers;
- - large capacity for a water bath;
- - cloth napkin;
- - flowers of linden, jasmine, thyme, elderberry, tea rose, willow tea, chamomile, lungwort, St. John's wort or any other flowers of your choice;
- - black or green tea for making a drink.
Instructions
Step 1
Prepare one or more types of flowers, dry or fresh. Linden with chamomile, linden with thyme (thyme), chamomile with rose, chamomile with mint, elderberry with mint or thyme go well in the drink. You can add mint or lemon balm leaves to the mixture of flowers, which are ideal on hot days.
Step 2
Brew the flower infusion in a water bath, for which place a ladle with hot water of the prepared infusion in a larger container filled with boiling water. Pour flowers and leaves of the selected mixture into the water of the ladle and keep on low heat for up to 20 minutes.
Step 3
Brewing option without a water bath. Place water in a ladle over medium heat and bring to a boil, but do not boil. Add flowers and leaves, stir and leave on very low heat for 2-3 minutes. The main thing is that the water does not boil.
Step 4
Set aside the flower infusion, prepared in a water bath or without it, from the heat. Cover the infusion with a lid and a napkin, let it brew for 15-20 minutes.
Step 5
Brew plain black or green tea, unflavored, while the flower is brewing. Pour hot water over the teapot to warm up its walls. Add 1 teaspoon of tea leaves to 200 ml of water.
Step 6
Heat the black tea water without boiling too much. Unplug it for a few seconds until the water “calms down” and pour it over the tea in the teapot. For green tea, do not bring the water to a boil; set aside from heat for a few minutes.
Step 7
Place the lid on the teapot and cover the top with a napkin to avoid losing the aroma of the tea. Brew the tea for 3 to 7 minutes, depending on the type of tea.
Step 8
Pour freshly prepared tea into cups, add flower tea to taste, from a few drops to half the volume of a cup.
