Decorating children's dishes should always be bright and interesting. For example, you can take regular chocolate muffins and turn them into a work of art. One of the more interesting design options is "potted flowers".

It is necessary

  • Chocolate muffins (which require: 2 1/4 cups flour, 1 2/3 cups sugar, 2/3 cups cocoa powder, 1 1/4 teaspoon baking soda, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon powdered sugar, 1 1/4 cups water, 3/4 cups margarine, 2 large eggs, 1 teaspoon vanilla sugar)
  • Chocolate icing (which requires: 1/2 cup butter, 1/3 cup cocoa powder, 2 cups powdered sugar, 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla, 3 tablespoons milk)
  • White or ivory sugar fudge - 2 kg
  • Food coloring red, yellow, brown, green, purple
  • Chocolate chip cookies

Instructions

Step 1

Combine all the ingredients needed to make the chocolate muffins in a large bowl. Beat the dough with a mixer for 2 minutes. Then this mass should be decomposed into molds and baked for 18-20 minutes in the oven at a temperature of 180 degrees. When the chocolate muffins are cooked in the tins, remove them from the oven, place them on the spread out sheets of paper and leave to cool.

Step 2

Make a terracotta dye by mixing red, brown, and yellow food dyes. Add it to half of the fudge sugar and stir well. Then roll the resulting terracotta fondant into a layer about 5-7 mm thick, cut out the circles with a large glass and bend their edges. You should now have sugar pots that you can place your chocolate muffins in.

Step 3

Prepare the chocolate icing by mixing all the ingredients with a mixer and gradually adding the icing sugar. Apply a thin layer to the inside of each fondant pot, then place a chocolate muffin in each pot.

Step 4

Take chocolate chip cookies and grind them in a blender. Cover each cupcake with the resulting earth as shown. Cut a strip of terracotta fondant and stick around each chocolate muffin.

Step 5

Divide the other half of the fudge into equal portions and add a different food coloring to each portion. Then roll each piece into a 5mm thick slab. Use a knife to cut out the petals and flowers to the desired shape. You can sprinkle the cut-out figures with powdered sugar to give them a visual dimension.

Step 6

Decorate your artwork with the remaining chocolate icing. The end result is a gorgeous flower-in-a-pot chocolate cupcake. You can make a broken pot as an option. You can experiment as you please with different flowers, leaves and flowers - give free rein to your creative desires.
