Onions often seem to us tasteless and "evil", but you can make an incredibly tasty and mouth-watering soup from it. On the contrary, it turns out to be very sweet and soft in taste. Having tasted onion soup once, you will definitely want to cook it a second time, and there are many variations of onion soup, one of which is "Onion soup in pots".
It is necessary
- - 5 pieces. onions
- - 700 ml of broth (for example, fish, vegetable, chicken)
- - 250 g ready-made puff pastry
- - 3-4 tbsp. l. butter
- - 1-2 eggs
- - 30 g flour
- - salt
- - pepper
- - dill
Instructions
Step 1
Peel the onion, rinse it in cold running water, pat dry on a paper towel. Place the processed onions on a cutting board and chop them finely enough.
Step 2
Put butter in a saucepan, melt it, put onion and fry until golden brown. Add flour to the onion, mix thoroughly and fry for another 2-3 minutes.
Step 3
Pour the broth into a saucepan with onions and flour, cook for 20 minutes.
Step 4
Prepare the pots: wash them, heat them up in the oven. Put the oven at 200 degrees to preheat.
Step 5
Pour the onion soup into pots, season with salt and pepper to taste. Heat the finished dough to room temperature, roll it out in a thin layer, cut out circles the size of a pot lid. Cover the pots with these circles. Beat the egg in a separate container, spread the dough with it.
Step 6
Put the onion soup in the oven for 20 minutes. Remove the finished dish from the oven, sprinkle with chopped herbs and serve.
