Tea is one of the favorite drinks for many people. It's so nice to talk with friends over a cup of aromatic tea, especially in the cold season. This is one of the most ancient drinks, its age is more than five thousand years. Now on sale there is a huge assortment of different teas, how not to be mistaken and choose a real and high-quality product?
Instructions
Step 1
Don't buy tea bags, it is mostly tea dust. This dust remains after processing the tea leaves. Open the box and look carefully, if there is black dust at the bottom, then it is it that is packaged in bags instead of tea leaves. If the bottom of the box is clean, then the bags contain crushed leaves, and not production waste. Do not get carried away with tea bags for another reason: unscrupulous manufacturers often add dyes to tea, which explains its instant brewing.
Step 2
Pay attention to the manufacturer of the product. Only a few countries can produce real high-quality tea from tea leaves: India, Sri Lanka, China, Japan, Indonesia, Georgia, Azerbaijan. The box with the Chinese tea must be written: "National Export-Import Tea Company", this is the only company in the country engaged in the export of tea, and must also indicate the province from which this tea was brought: Fujian, Sichuan, Human and Yunnan … If it is simply written that the tea is made in China, it is most likely a fake.
Step 3
When choosing Indian tea, remember one peculiarity: the box must have a special sign of the Indian State Council for Tea - a girl with a basket of tea. The packaging of real Ceylon tea must be stamped with a lion and marked “Packed in Sri-Lanka”.
Step 4
Carefully inspect the tea package from all sides. It must be intact, without dents or other damage. The tea itself should be packaged in foil bags, not cellophane or polyethylene. Check the manufacturing date and expiration date of the product.
Step 5
Consider the tea leaves, they should be bright in color and fairly dense. Rub a few tea leaves with your fingers. Poor quality tea will immediately crumble into dust. Make sure that there is nothing superfluous in the package. We noticed the stems and branches, which means the product is of poor quality. Smell the tea, it should emit a pleasant tart aroma without a burning smell.
