Villagers and summer residents are now concerned with the question of how to stock up on summer cottage vitamins for the winter. One of the options is jam made from berries and fruits that grow in the personal plot. And in central Russia, plum is very popular. And very often it is required to quickly cook jam from plums, spending a minimum of effort and time.
It is necessary
- - 1 kg plums
- - 1, 3 kg of sugar
- - 0.2 glasses of drinking water
- - glass jars with plastic or screw lids
- - utensils for cooking jam
- - wooden spatula
- - ladle
Instructions
Step 1
Wash the plums with warm water and remove the seeds from them. The seeds are easily removed from ripe sweet plums by making a cut with a knife on one side of the plum, dividing the fruit in half. Place the washed and pitted halves of the plums in a plate.
Step 2
Weigh the plums. Place them in a jam pot. Then add sugar, at the rate of 1, 3 kg of sugar per 1 kg of plums. Stir gently with a wooden spatula so that the sugar mixes with the plum. Add water.
Step 3
Place the dishes with plums on low heat and, stirring gently to dissolve the sugar, cook until boiling. As soon as the jam boils, turn the heat up and cook until tender (about 40 minutes). Remove the jam from the stove and set to cool.
Step 4
Pour the cooled jam into the jars with a ladle, close the lids and place in a cool place.
