It is necessary

    • beef meat - 500;
    • flour - 3 tbsp. l;
    • vegetable oil;
    • onions - 3 pcs;
    • carrots - 2 pcs;
    • water - 400 ml;
    • salt;
    • paprika - 1 tsp;
    • ground black pepper;
    • oblong rice - 1, 5 tbsp;
    • cheese - 50 g;
    • tomato sauce;
    • a bunch of parsley.

Instructions

Step 1

First, rinse the piece of meat thoroughly under cold water and dry it lightly with paper towels or a towel. Then separate it from the veins and bones, peel off films and fat, if any. After that, cut the meat into small pieces along the grain, roll each in flour.

Step 2

In a deep saucepan, preheat vegetable or olive oil and fry the meat on it until golden brown. Remember that the meat pieces should not lie tightly together so that they are well browned and not stewed. Do not forget to stir them periodically so as not to burn.

While the meat is cooking, wash and peel the onions and carrots. Cut the onion into half rings, coarsely grate the carrots or chop into strips. Add them to a saucepan and simmer over low heat with the meat for another five to seven minutes.

Then carefully pour in the water, mix everything until a homogeneous mass without lumps is formed, salt, add spices and bring to a boil.

Step 5

Rinse the rice two or three times under running water, discard in a colander. Next, place it in a saucepan on top of the fried meat and flatten. When all the water has boiled away, use a spoon to make several indentations on the surface to the bottom. Pour two to three tablespoons of water into each well.

Step 6

Then close the saucepan tightly with a lid and simmer the rice and beef over low heat for another thirty to forty-five minutes.

Step 7

Use oblong rice for cooking, as it will be more crumbly. Round rice, on the other hand, has a high viscosity and stickiness, so it is better to use it for cooking any other dish. For example, stuffed cabbage.

Step 8

Serve hot rice and meat, and sprinkle with grated cheese, finely chopped parsley or tomato sauce on top. Bon Appetit!
