Apple cider vinegar is so popular for a reason. Its nutritious and rich taste makes it an indispensable tool in the kitchen, and its unique characteristics make it an exceptional product for cosmetic use.
More than a hundred varieties of vinegar are known in the world, moreover, some of them are stored as expensive cognacs or wines. The price of such vinegar is no less than the price of an expensive drink. However, we believe that you should not go to extremes, especially since the most practical way is to make vinegar at home. Agree, and there will be more benefits from it, and it will cost much less.
As you know, vinegar is nothing more than sour wine. Therefore, anything that is suitable for making wine is also suitable for making vinegar. For example, you can use apples, rice, oats, honey, or berries. Making vinegar at home is easy enough, you need to have a few ingredients on hand and be patient.
It is a misconception that old wine will eventually turn into vinegar. Remember that over time, open wine just starts to deteriorate, and besides, in order to prepare vinegar, you should adhere to a completely different recipe. However, tainted wine can also be used to make vinegar. To make vinegar, mix tainted wine with 2 parts apple cider vinegar. Pour the mixture into a bottle and seal it in a dark place. You can diversify the taste of vinegar with mint, lemongrass, or by adding a few cherries to the mixture.
If there is no tainted wine in the house, and you want to make natural apple cider vinegar, then stick to another recipe. Take apples that are overripe or fallen from a tree and wash them thoroughly. Cut the apples into small pieces and then crush them with a meat grinder. Transfer the resulting mixture to an enamel pot and add hot water to it. It's time to add sugar. Use 50 grams of sugar for sweet apple vinegar and 100 grams of sugar for making sour apple vinegar. Place the container with the contents in a warm place, but avoid direct sunlight. Remember to stir the mixture daily. After two to three weeks, strain the liquid through cheesecloth and transfer to large containers for further fermentation. Leave 5-7 centimeters from the edge for the foam. The vinegar should be infused for another two weeks. Once the vinegar is ready, place it in bottles, seal it, and place it in a dark, cool place.
For cosmetic purposes, apple cider vinegar can be used to prevent and treat cellulite and stretch marks. To do this, you need to dilute 2 tablespoons of vinegar in a glass of cold water and rub problem areas with this solution, while massaging them with your hands. Apple cider vinegar is also used to strengthen hair. To do this, dilute 1/3 cup of apple cider vinegar in 3 cups of warm water and rinse your hair with this solution after washing your hair.
