One of the most widespread soups in Russia is undoubtedly the hodgepodge. There are three types of this dish: fish, meat and mushroom hodgepodge. Since the composition contains lemon, pickled cucumbers and olives, the broth turns out to be spicy and sour. We will talk in more detail about the features of making a hodgepodge with sausage.
It is necessary
- semi-smoked sausage - 400 g;
- potatoes - 5 pcs;
- pickled cucumbers - 3 pcs;
- olives - 10 pcs;
- fresh tomatoes - 2 pcs;
- lemon - 1 half;
- onions - 1 pc;
- spices, herbs and salt to taste.
Instructions
Step 1
Start by cooking potatoes. Wash it under running water and peel it off. Cut into small cubes and cook in a saucepan for 20 minutes until cooked through.
Step 2
Fry the onions in a skillet using sunflower oil. After 5 minutes, add finely chopped sausage pieces to it. Continue frying for another 10 minutes until the sausage is done.
Step 3
Cut pickles and fresh tomatoes into pieces. If you wish, you can cut the olives into circles.
Step 4
Add a mixture of sausage and onions, tomatoes with olives, and finely chopped cucumbers to a pot with potatoes. Squeeze half a lemon into the mixture and start cooking. In the middle or at the end of cooking, add seasoning to taste and salt.
