Cinnabon buns are one of the few baked goods that does not need advertising. By creating them, Ridchard Komen, together with his son Greg, wanted to release a dessert that would become popular all over the world. At the same time, they relied not on advertising, but on a unique confectionery composition and the main ingredient - cinnamon.

The development of the recipe was entrusted to an experienced pastry chef, Jerilyn Brusso. The creators of the Cinnabon bakeries trusted the professionalism of the master and were not mistaken.

Jerilyn invented the bun recipe that would later become the foundation of international business for about a month. When those same cinnabons saw the light of day, Ridchart and Greg did not invest in advertising. They went the other way - while baking buns, businessmen opened all the windows and doors of the pastry shop, and the aroma of vanilla and cinnamon immediately spread through the streets of the city. An hour later, a queue gathered at the bakery, everyone wanted to taste the aromatic products.

Cinnabon Buns Recipe

Now there are many recipes for cinnabon, but only the classic version of making a dessert is considered ideal. Buns made according to the oldest recipe always turn out tender, fragrant and divinely delicious.

Ingredients for the dough:

  • 200 ml of milk;
  • 10 g yeast;
  • 2 chicken eggs;
  • 50 g butter;
  • 800 g wheat flour;
  • 1 tsp salt;
  • 100 g granulated sugar;
  • 1 pinch of vanillin;
  • 1 tbsp. l. liqueur or cognac - optional.

Ingredients for the filling:

  • 1 bag of cinnamon;
  • 40 g butter;
  • 100 g cane sugar.

Ingredients for watering:

Option number 1 (expensive):

  • 2 tbsp. l. butter;
  • 100 g of Mascarpone cheese;
  • 100 g icing sugar.

Option number 2 (cheap):

  • 2 tbsp. l. butter;
  • 2 tbsp. l. milk;
  • 100 g icing sugar.

Despite the big difference in price, both creamy watering options are delicious.

Instructions for making cinnabon buns

  1. Pour warm milk over granulated yeast, add sugar. Leave on for 15 minutes. During this time, the yeast will start to play.
  2. Mix chicken eggs with salt and melted butter.
  3. Combine the milk and yeast mixture with the egg mixture. Mix everything thoroughly.
  4. Pour in alcohol.
  5. Pour the sifted flour with vanilla into a bowl. Knead the dough. Flour is different, so if the mass turns out to be liquid, you will have to add more flour.
  6. Cover the container with a towel. Remove the dough in a warm place for 1 hour.
  7. As soon as the dough has risen, you need to gently knead it and cover it again with a towel, put it in a warm place for 15-20 minutes.
  8. Divide the dough into 2 equal parts. Roll out 2 rectangles from them. The thickness of the layer is 0.5 cm.
  9. Thoroughly coat the layers of dough with butter, sprinkle with cinnamon, cane sugar.
  10. Roll the dough into long rolls. Cut each of them into 8-10 pieces. These will be our buns.

  11. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Put buns on it - one place of the cut of the cinnabonka will be on the bottom, the other on top.
  12. The buns should be placed on a baking sheet at a distance of 2-3 cm from each other. They need to be sent to a warm place for 10 minutes.
  13. Cinnabon buns are baked at 170 degrees for 25 minutes.

  15. Let the buns cool. Thoroughly coat them with cream. Pour the remaining cream mixture over the dessert.
