Dumplings are a traditional Ukrainian dish that has been popular in Russia for over 150 years. Cherry filling is considered one of the most delicious sweet filling of dumplings in summer.
It is necessary
- - butter (45 g);
- –Milk (250 ml);
- –Chicken eggs (1-2 pcs.);
- –Sugar (half a glass);
- –Wheat flour (2, 5-3 cups);
- - vegetable oil (30 ml);
- –Salt to taste;
- - cherry (700-900 g).
Instructions
Step 1
Take a cherry and rinse each berry thoroughly to remove excess dirt. Next, you need to remove the seeds from the cherries. To do this, take a regular pin and pull out the bones. Any other sharp object can be used.
Step 2
Transfer the pitted cherries to a deep colander, which should be placed in a cup. Cover the cherries with sugar and let sit for a while. Soon juice will begin to emerge from the berry.
Step 3
While the cherry is infusing, prepare the dough. Take the required amount of vegetable oil and butter. Put in a saucepan, add milk and salt there. Mix thoroughly.
Step 4
Stir constantly with a wooden spatula, bring the mixture to a boil and immediately remove from heat. Leave to cool for a while.
Step 5
Sift the flour through a fine sieve into the resulting mass of milk and butter, stir. Add the egg there, and then put the dough on the table, sprinkled with flour. Make a tough dough like dumplings.
Step 6
Roll out a small part of the dough so that the thickness is at least 3-6 mm. The layer of dough should not be very thin so that the filling does not flow out of the dumpling.
Step 7
Take a glass and cut round tortillas with the neck. Place the cherries and sugar from a sieve. Take the filling with a teaspoon and gently place it on half of the dough. Secure the edges of the dumplings neatly and tightly. Place on a floured cutting board. Ready-made dumplings can be cooked immediately or put in the freezer.
