Sheker-Churek cookies came to Russia from Azerbaijani cuisine. This delicacy has a very delicate taste and literally melts in your mouth. Plus, it's very easy to make. This is what I offer you.
It is necessary
- - flour - 4 glasses;
- - ghee - 1 glass;
- - eggs - 2 pcs;
- - icing sugar - 1 glass;
- - vanilla sugar - 1 sachet;
- - egg yolk.
Instructions
Step 1
Melt the butter, then combine it with ingredients such as vanilla sugar and powdered sugar. Mix the resulting mixture thoroughly and add the chicken eggs to it. Stir again.
Step 2
After sifting, add flour in small portions to the resulting sugar-creamy mass, stirring continuously. First stir the mixture with a wooden spatula. Knead by hand as it thickens. This will result in a soft dough. When it's done, roll it into a ball and wrap it with cling film. As such, place in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
Step 3
Cut the cooled dough into 14 equal parts. Then roll each so that you get a ball.
Step 4
Cover the baking sheet with a sheet of parchment and place the resulting balls on it. Gently flatten them with your palm, then make a small indentation in each shape with your finger. Whisk the egg yolk lightly. Place a small amount of this mass in the resulting grooves. The most convenient way to do this is using a teaspoon.
Step 5
Preheat the oven to a temperature of 180 degrees and send the future delicacy into it for about 20 minutes. Make sure that the top of the pastry remains light during cooking. Sheker-Churek cookies are ready! You can serve it to the table.
