If you want to enjoy the taste of freshly made pizza, you don't have to go to a pizzeria. Try making authentic Italian pizza at home. To do this, you will need yeast dough and traditional ingredients such as cheese, tomatoes, olives, and basil.

It is necessary

    • Dough:
    • 250 g flour;
    • 100 ml warm water;
    • 15 g fresh yeast;
    • ½ teaspoon salt;
    • 1 tablespoon olive oil
    • Filling;
    • 200 g mozzarella cheese;
    • 100 g ham;
    • 3 tablespoons tomato paste;
    • 10 pitted olives;
    • 3 tomatoes;
    • 1 bell pepper;
    • 5-7 basil leaves;
    • salt and black pepper to taste.

Instructions

Step 1

Prepare a dough dough. Take a deep cup, pour a little warm water into it and add yeast. For a real Italian pizza dough, choose fresh yeast. But if they are not at hand, then you can use dry yeast. The ratio between dry and fresh yeast is as follows - 1 teaspoon of dry yeast is equal to 12 grams of fresh yeast. Add 50 grams of sifted flour and a little warm water to the yeast dissolved in water. Mix the mixture thoroughly. Place the dough in a warm place for about 20 minutes.

Step 2

Pour the sifted flour and salt onto a flat surface (table or large board), stir. Collect flour in a hill and make a depression in the middle. Pour the dough into it, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil and knead the dough, gradually adding flour. The dough should be soft and elastic. Form a bun out of it, place it on a floured board and cover with a clean towel and leave in a warm place to come up. The dough should approximately double in size.

Step 3

Start preparing your pizza toppings. Cut the ham into small cubes. Rinse the tomatoes and bell peppers under running water. Cut the tomatoes into slices about 1 centimeter thick. Peel the bell pepper and cut into small pieces. Grate cheese on a coarse grater or chop in a blender.

Step 4

Sprinkle flour on the table. Lay out the dough and roll it out thinly. You should have a circle with a diameter of about 40 centimeters. Grease a baking sheet with vegetable oil and gently transfer the dough to it. On the sides of the circle, make small sides about a centimeter thick.

Step 5

Spread the tomato paste evenly over the entire surface of the dough. Top with tomato slices, chopped ham and bell peppers. Spread the olives over the entire surface of the pizza. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Sprinkle with grated cheese on top and garnish with basil leaves. Place the pizza in an oven preheated to 200 degrees for 20 minutes.

Step 6
