Immerse yourself in the exoticism of Thai cuisine by preparing this unusual salad.
It is necessary
- For the sauce:
- 1 tbsp fish sauce or 2 tablespoons soy;
- 1 tbsp peanut butter;
- 2 tbsp. l. chopped cilantro (can be dried);
- 1 tbsp. l. chopped basil (can be dried);
- Chili pepper - to taste;
- Optional: 1 tsp. cane sugar - the sauce should be spicy - sweetish.
- 150 g salted salmon fillet;
- 1 large white onion
- 600 g pomelo.
- Chopped unsalted peanuts or sesame seeds for serving.
Instructions
Step 1
We clean the pomelo of skins, disassemble it into fibers. Cut the onion into thin half rings. Cut the salmon into 1, 5 cm strips.
Step 2
Heat oil in a frying pan. Put the onion in the heated oil and simmer, stirring occasionally, over medium heat until it changes color. Transfer to a plate with a slotted spoon.
Step 3
Mix all ingredients for the sauce. Toss the onion, pomelo and salmon in a large bowl, drizzle with the dressing and serve, sprinkling with peanuts or sesame seeds.
