Mannik is a cake that is very easy to prepare. There are many recipes for this baking, but the most airy and tender manna is obtained with kefir and without the use of flour.

It is necessary

  • - 300 ml of kefir;
  • - 200 grams of semolina;
  • - two eggs;
  • - 100 grams of sugar;
  • - 10 grams of butter;
  • - a teaspoon of baking powder;
  • - a pinch of salt.

Instructions

Step 1

Take the kefir out of the refrigerator, pour it into a bowl and let it stand for about an hour at room temperature (in warm kefir, the semolina swells a little faster, and the cake turns out to be more magnificent). After the time has elapsed, beat the kefir with a mixer, then, without turning off the mixer, gradually pour the semolina in a thin stream and beat thoroughly so that there are no lumps. Leave the bowl with the mixture at room temperature for at least an hour (during this time, the semolina will swell properly).

Step 2

Once the time is up, turn on the oven (it needs to be heated). Break the eggs into a deep bowl, add a little salt to them and beat them thoroughly. Add granulated sugar to the eggs a couple of minutes before the end of beating. During whipping, the mass should approximately double in volume, while its very consistency should become like liquid sour cream in density.

Step 3

Add baking powder to the resulting mass and mix everything thoroughly.

Grease a baking sheet with butter and pour the finished dough into it. Put the baking sheet in the oven for 40-45 minutes, the oven temperature should be around 180-190 degrees.

It is worth noting that when using a silicone mold, oil lubrication can be skipped, the manna will turn out to be excellent.

Step 4

Remove the baking sheet with the manna and place the pie on a flat dish. Cover it with a towel on top and let cool slightly, then cut into portions. If desired, before serving, the manna can be poured on top with jam, smeared with sour cream or jam.
