Minced meat dishes are striking in their variety. These are casseroles, meatballs, and various options for cutlets. But they rarely get to the festive table. It is worth correcting this annoying omission and preparing a meatloaf with an egg - an unusual and very elegant dish. It is easy to make, and no exotic products are required for this.

It is necessary

    • beef - 300 g;
    • pork - 500 g;
    • white loaf or bun - 150 g;
    • milk - 200 g;
    • bacon - 10-12 strips;
    • eggs - 4 pcs;
    • turnip onions - 1-2 onions;
    • salt
    • black pepper to taste;
    • baking foil,
    • cling film.

Instructions

Step 1

Remove all crumb from a loaf or bun and soak in milk for 2-3 minutes.

Step 2

Boil the eggs for 7-10 minutes. So that they do not crack during cooking, put them in cold salted water. Count the time after boiling water. Put the finished eggs in cold water to cool, so they will be easier to clean.

Step 3

Scroll the beef, pork and onion through a meat grinder. Squeeze the crumb of bread from the milk and add to the minced meat. Season with salt and pepper. Stir.

Step 4

Add 1 raw egg to the minced meat and beat until fluffy. Put in the refrigerator for half an hour.

Step 5

Put half of the minced meat on a cling film, form an elongated flat cake.

Step 6

Peel the eggs and place them in a chain, one by one, on the minced meat cake. Cover with the other half of the minced meat and shape into a meatloaf. Wrap in plastic. Give the correct shape and wrap your hands well to make the roll more dense.

Step 7

Fold the foil in half. Make a piece large enough to wrap the resulting meatloaf well. Place the bacon strips in a herringbone pattern on the foil.

Step 8

Using the film, lift the roll and carefully roll it out of the film onto the prepared bacon. Pick up the strips of bacon and wrap them around the roll. The roll should be as if "bandaged" with bacon.

Step 9

Lift the edges of the foil and staple them carefully at the top. Make sure that there are no holes through which the meat juice can flow out when baking. In this case, the roll will be dry. Transfer the resulting design to a baking sheet.

Step 10

Preheat oven to 220 degrees. Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for half an hour. Then open the top of the foil to brown the roll. Let the dish sit in the oven for about 25 minutes.

Step 11

Remove the finished roll from the oven. Reattach the edges of the foil. Place a cutting board and a small load, such as a can of water, on the roll. Leave it on for 20-30 minutes. Thanks to this, the roll will become denser and will not crumble when cutting.

Serve fresh vegetables as a side dish.
