Step 1

Choose minced meat for the meatloaf. The best option for this dish is a mixture of beef and lean pork, in a ratio of about 50 to 50, since the first is too tough and the second is too fatty. To make a small roll, you need 500-600 grams of twisted meat.

Add salt and black pepper to the minced meat to taste, mix it thoroughly. Leave to marinate for a few minutes.

Take care of the filling for the roll. You can choose any food that goes well with minced meat. Here are some options: sautéed carrots, sautéed onions drenched in egg, mushrooms or bell peppers.

Roll out the foil and place a small square piece on the table.

Place all the minced meat on the foil. Form a square out of it, make sure that the layer thickness is approximately the same.

Place the filling on a layer of minced meat, distribute evenly, leave 2 cm of minced meat uncovered around the perimeter.

Pull the edge of the foil closest to you, gently form the inner curl with your hands. Lifting and pulling the foil away from you, roll up the entire roll. Smooth the side edges to keep the filling from falling out.

Wrap the roll completely in foil to prevent juice from flowing onto the baking dish.
