Churros are traditional Spanish pastries made with choux pastry and served for breakfast. Before serving, churros are generously sprinkled with powdered sugar or a mixture of fine granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. You can also make chocolate sauce in addition to dessert.

It is necessary

  • For churros:
  • - 1 glass of wheat flour;
  • - 1 glass of drinking water;
  • - 100 g of butter;
  • - 3 eggs;
  • - 1/4 teaspoon of ground cinnamon;
  • - a pinch of salt.
  • For the sauce:
  • - 200 g of dark chocolate;
  • - 250 ml of milk.
  • Moreover:
  • - 500 ml of vegetable oil for deep fat;
  • - 2 tbsp. tablespoons of powdered sugar.

Instructions

Step 1

Toss wheat flour, sifted through a sieve, and cinnamon powder. Take a saucepan, pour in water and add a pinch of fine salt. Place the butter on the stove and bring the mixture to a boil over moderate heat.

Step 2

Remove the saucepan from the heat, then gently stir in the cinnamon flour. Stir and let cool slightly. Add the chicken eggs one by one, stirring quite vigorously each time. In the end, you should get a smooth dough with a uniform consistency.

Step 3

Fill a large ribbed culinary cornet with dough. Heat the oil in a high-sided skillet or other suitable container. Squeeze the dough out of the cornet in strips 5-10 cm long. You can also make churros in the form of rings or spirals.

Step 4

Fry the churros until golden brown. Put no more than 4 blanks in the pan at a time so that they are evenly fried and do not stick together. Carefully remove the finished baked goods with a slotted spoon and place on a dish covered with paper towels. Leave it on until the excess fat is absorbed.

Step 5

Prepare the chocolate sauce by bringing the milk to a boil in a saucepan. Remove the container from the stove, add the grated chocolate and stir the mass until it dissolves completely. Sprinkle the churros with icing sugar, additionally serve the sauce.
