Shrimp is a popular seafood that is widely used in cooking. They are boiled, fried, baked, combined with pasta and rice, added with snacks and soups.
Tempura batter shrimp
Ingredients:
- 450 g raw shrimp;
- 1 cup tempura flour
- 1 glass of water;
- 1 egg;
- olive oil.
Preparation
- Mix the egg with cold water. Add flour, mix. The dough should have the consistency of pancakes. Add flour if necessary.
- Defrost the shrimp, if necessary. Blot off excess liquid. Dip in batter and fry in oil in a deep frying pan for 2 minutes on each side. Serve with hot and sweet sauce.
Tip: Tempura flour is available at the supermarket and is a mixture of wheat and rice flour, egg white, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and other spices.
Spaghetti with shrimps
Ingredients:
- 150 g spaghetti;
- 125 g large raw peeled shrimp;
- 2 tbsp. tablespoons of olive oil;
- 1 lemon;
- 1 bunch of parsley;
- salt pepper.
Preparation
- Defrost the shrimp, if necessary. Boil the spaghetti until tender. Pour the oil into a saucepan. Add shrimp and sauté quickly until pink.
- Wash the lemon, wipe the zest from it. Squeeze juice from the pulp. Add zest and juice to the shrimp. Add chopped herbs, a couple tablespoons of water and spices to taste. Add pasta, stir and heat.
Shrimp salad with pancakes
Ingredients:
- any dough for pancakes;
- shrimp;
- goat cheese;
- natural yogurt;
- black pepper;
- dill.
Preparation
Knead the dough and bake small pancakes. Boil shrimps, cut. Stir in chopped goat cheese, yogurt, shrimp and a pinch of pepper. Put the salad on a pancake, garnish with dill.
Tip: Shrimp salad can also be used as a filling for eclairs and volovanovs.
Coconut-breaded shrimp
Ingredients:
- 15 large peeled shrimps;
- 1/3 cup flour
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1 cup coconut flakes
- 2 squirrels;
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt;
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- vegetable oil.
Preparation:
- Using a small knife, cut through the shrimp, but do not cut through. Unfold the butterfly shrimp so that they lie flat.
- Mix flour, garlic and salt. Place the beaten egg whites in another bowl. In a third bowl, combine crumbs and coconut.
- Dip the shrimp in flour, then in the egg and coconut mixture. Repeat until all the shrimps are breaded. Fry in hot oil until golden brown for about 3 minutes.
Shrimp appetizer in wheat cakes
Ingredients:
- 100 g peeled shrimp;
- 2 avocados;
- 1 small red onion;
- 1 small bunch of dill;
- wheat tortillas tortillas;
- mayonnaise.
Preparation
- Peel the avocado. Cut into small cubes. Chop the onion. Fry the shrimps until tender. Cut large shrimps, leave small ones intact. Chop the dill.
- Stir all the ingredients and season with mayonnaise. Heat the tortillas in the microwave, roll up and fill them with salad.
Tip: to fry the shrimp, you need to heat the olive oil in a pan. Put shrimps in it, fry for 2 minutes. Then turn over and fry for a couple more minutes. The finished shrimp should turn opaque.
