Shrimps are one of the most delicious marine life. You can just cook them and eat them, having fun, or you can cook something more interesting. For example, pasta with shrimp and Red Wine sauce.
It is necessary
-
- For shrimp pasta:
- Mexican shrimps - 500 g;
- pasta - 300 g;
- fresh cucumber - 200 g;
- chopped green onions;
- capers - 2 tablespoons
- For Red Wine sauce:
- red wine vinegar - 4 tablespoons;
- oregano - 1 tsp;
- garlic - 1 clove;
- ground red pepper - 1 tsp;
- olive oil - 1/2 cup;
- salt to taste.
Instructions
Step 1
Choose the right shrimp. Not all supermarket shrimp can be delicious. It is better to buy shrimp by weight, as in sealed packs you may not even see what exactly you are buying. Take a close look at the shrimp - if they are broken, glued together, if there is too much ice on them, then the shrimps are frozen poorly.
Step 2
Cook the shrimp properly. Rinse the shrimp under running water. Pour water into a saucepan, so that later the water completely covers all the shrimp. Place a saucepan on a fire and bring the water to a boil. Add salt, spices to taste, a clove of garlic and a few teaspoons of lemon juice. Add shrimp to water. Remember that small shrimps cook faster than large ones, and fresh ones cook faster than frozen ones. On average, this will take 3 to 8 minutes.
Step 3
Remove the finished shrimp with a slotted spoon, rinse under cold water, peel. You can use the water from the shrimp, for example, to make pasta. Boil the pasta in this water, discard in a colander, rinse, mix the pasta with the prepared shrimp. Add cucumber, onion, capers and red pepper to the pasta.
Step 4
Make shrimp sauce. To do this, combine the vinegar, garlic, oregano, pepper, olive oil, salt and pepper in a blender. Pour pasta and shrimps with this sauce, shake well to mix everything. Cover the dish with a lid and refrigerate for a couple of hours. This dish is served cold, sprinkled with herbs.
