Russian Beauty salad is an interesting combination of meat components and fresh vegetables, due to which the dish turns out to be not only satisfying, but also quite tender. There are several secrets of making such a salad, which will help to reveal its full flavor deeper.
Prepare 350-400 g each of ham and chicken fillet, 300 g of cheese, 3 eggs, 2 fresh medium-sized tomatoes, a couple of fresh cucumbers, a head of onion, mayonnaise, a few branches of dill and parsley. Use spices, pepper if desired.
You can also add other products that combine with honey, for example, boiled potatoes, sweet bell peppers, instead of chicken - beef tongue.
Take a chilled fillet or poultry breast, rinse under running cold water, in hot water - the product should not be washed, the taste deteriorates. Put in a saucepan, boil. Do it correctly, after the first boil, drain the liquid, rinse the meat, pour fresh water, put the chicken in it, add spices, salt, cook for about 30 minutes. Cool, cut into strips or cut by hand into fibers about 0.5-1 cm thick.
It should be noted that meat can be used not only boiled, but also fried or steamed. The broth can then be used to prepare the first courses.
Rinse the eggs, boil, put under cold water to cool, free from the shell, pass into a coarse grater. Chop the ham into small pieces. Wash the vegetables, cut the tomatoes into small cubes, peel the cucumbers, chop them into strips.
Be sure to remove the peel from the cucumbers, as it is rather coarse. Also, do not grate the cucumbers, this will lead to the formation of excess liquid.
Cut the onion into half rings, marinate in a mixture of vinegar, water, salt and sugar, take the ingredients to taste. Leave to stand for half an hour, drain the marinade. If you don't like pickled onions, prepare them as follows. Place in a plate, pour boiling water over for 1 minute, drain the liquid. Onions processed in this way will not be too bitter. Grate the cheese on a coarse grater, it is better if it is of hard varieties, a spicy product or with a slight sourness is perfect.
Start assembling the salad. Take a flat dish, put a ham on the bottom, a layer of onions on it, cover with a net of mayonnaise. Then place the chicken, cucumbers, tomatoes, eggs, and the cheese last. Coat with mayonnaise through the layer. There should not be a lot of mayonnaise, otherwise the salad will turn out to be liquid and greasy, and will lose its freshness. "Russian beauty" is ready, decorate everything with sprigs of greenery, put it in the refrigerator for a couple of hours to soak.
If you want the dish to turn out "fluffier", rub the cheese and eggs directly on the salad, and not in advance.
For laying out the salad, you can use a special metal ring, which is carefully removed before serving. In addition, you can get creative and use confectionery forms, which are sold in a wide range of stores. For example, a kokoshnik shape is perfect for this salad. If the dish is focused on a solemn feast, it can be served in portions in transparent beautiful glasses or wine glasses, where the layers of salad are laid out.
