Homemade marmalade can be a great alternative to the rubbery colorful bears that kids love to chew. Most likely, such a marmalade will turn out to be not quite identical to the store one, but you can cook it as much as you like, and there will be no harmful additives in it.
It is necessary
-
- For the first recipe:
- 100 ml orange juice;
- 100 ml of water;
- 20 g gelatin;
- 2 cups sugar;
- 2 tablespoons lemon and orange zest.
- For the second recipe:
- 500 g frozen strawberries;
- 1 cup powdered sugar;
- 10 g gelatin;
- 1 glass of water.
- For the third recipe:
- 600 ml of juice;
- 2 cups sugar;
- 3 tablespoons of pectin.
Instructions
Step 1
Recipe 1: Put gelatin in a separate bowl, pour orange juice over it and leave to swell. Put sugar in a saucepan, cover with water, add zest. Stir, put on fire and heat over low heat until sugar is completely dissolved. Then remove the mixture from heat, pour out the gelatin and stir quickly to dissolve the gelatin completely. Strain the mixture through a fine sieve so that there are no lumps. Cover the square shape with foil. Pour the mixture in a layer about 2 cm thick. Put in the refrigerator and leave for 6-8 hours. Sprinkle the parchment paper with powdered sugar. Take out the finished marmalade, put it on paper and cut into pieces, roll in powdered sugar.
Step 2
Recipe 2: Soak the gelatin in cold water for 40 minutes, thaw the frozen strawberries a little, then transfer to a blender. Use a blender to puree the berries. Add the icing sugar and stir again. Take the plastic molds left over from the candy set. Cover the cells with cling film, so that later it is convenient to take out the finished marmalade. Pour the swollen gelatin into a saucepan, put on fire and bring to a boil, but do not boil. Mix berry puree with gelatin until smooth. Pour the mixture into molds and refrigerate for a few hours.
Step 3
Recipe 3. Pour juice into a metal ladle, heat it a little. Pour the pectin into the juice. Leave the mixture for half an hour. In a hotel saucepan, add sugar, cover it with a cup of juice, put on low heat and bring to a boil. Simmer until sugar dissolves, stirring constantly, then add thickener mixture, stir and bring to a boil again. Then turn off the heat and let the liquid cool slightly. Place a baking dish with cling film, pour the mixture into it. Then put it in the refrigerator for a few hours. Then remove and cut into pieces.
