Capelin pie is suitable for any tea party, and it will take 80 minutes to prepare it and very little food. Instead of capelin, you can buy canned fish such as sardinella or sardine in oil.

Step 1
To make a cake with capelin, rinse the rice well and boil it in salted water until cooked and leave to cool. We defrost the capelin, cut off the heads, gut well and remove the ridges, wash and dry.
Step 2
Divide the yeast dough into 2 equal parts, set aside a little for decoration. We make a ball from each part and roll it into a circle 1-1.5 cm thick. Clean the bulbs and cut them into thin rings. Grease the baking dish with vegetable oil and put one circle of dough on it, then in layers half the boiled rice, half the onion, all the capelin. Grind the bay leaf into crumbs and sprinkle with capelin, salt and pepper to taste. Pour the capelin pie abundantly with vegetable oil, put the remaining onion into the mold first, then the rice, the second round of yeast dough, leave for 15 minutes.
Step 3
Beat the egg into a thick mass and grease the capelin pie with it. Preheat the oven to 200 ° C, pierce the dough in several places with a fork and set the cake to bake for 30 minutes. While it is cooking, we make roses or other figures from the remaining dough. Lubricate them with an egg and put them on a pie, send the dish to the oven for another 10-15 minutes. Before serving, decorate the capelin pie with sprigs of dill or parsley.
