Not all housewives like to cook offal: liver, kidneys, hearts and other entrails. But in fact, you can create simply delicious dishes from offal, which will require a minimum of time and effort. And if you still don't know how to cook chicken hearts, then it's time to learn.

If you want to try to recreate some offal dish in your kitchen, then opt for chicken hearts, the cooking recipe will be described below. It is simple, it can be repeated even by people who have no culinary experience. So, stock up on the following foods:

  • Chicken hearts - 500 g;
  • Large carrots - 1 pc.;
  • Onions - 2 medium-sized heads;
  • Vegetable oil - 1 tbsp. l.;
  • Tomato paste or ketchup - 2 tbsp l.;
  • Boiled water. Its amount will directly depend on what consistency you want the dish to be.

When all the ingredients are purchased, you can start cooking. Rinse chicken hearts under running water, remove excess fat. Cut them if desired, but whole hearts will cook very well, and they will look beautiful. Now peel the onion and cut it into thin half rings, drink the carrots under running water, remove the peel and chop on a coarse grater.

Put a deep frying pan on gas, add oil there. When it warms up, put the prepared vegetables, fry for 5-7 minutes. Then put the prepared hearts in a bowl, mix everything and add tomato paste or ketchup, spices to taste. Fry for 5 minutes, stirring constantly, then add 3 tbsp. l. boiled water. If you want to get not just hearts with vegetables, but gravy, then you need more liquid. But 3 tbsp. l. water is the minimum necessary for normal cooking. Then make the gas as low as possible, close the pan with a lid and simmer the hearts until tender. Remember to stir occasionally.

The finished dish can be served both independently and supplemented with your favorite side dish.
