Having decided to cook chicken, they usually buy breast, fillet, drumsticks or whole carcass (for soup). Sometimes you want variety … Therefore, a delicious and hearty casserole made of ventricles or hearts, cooked with zucchini and potatoes, will be an excellent option for lunch and dinner.
It is necessary
- - 1 kg of chicken ventricles / hearts;
- - 2-3 medium-sized zucchini;
- - 7-8 pieces of potatoes;
- - 5-6 tablespoons of sour cream;
- - 1-2 onions;
- - 200 g of cheese;
- - 2 teaspoons of mustard;
- - salt, pepper (black ground, you can also paprika) and other favorite spices (for example, Italian herbs).
Instructions
Step 1
First you need to boil the ventricles / hearts until half cooked. To do this, wash them, put them in a saucepan, fill them with water and place them on the stove. After boiling, remove the scale and cook the ventricles for 20 minutes, and the hearts for 15 minutes. Let cool the meat, then cut it into small pieces (this applies especially to the ventricles).
Step 2
In a frying pan, fry the chopped onion in vegetable oil until golden brown, then add the ventricles / hearts to it. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Grill over medium heat for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Step 3
Wash the zucchini and peel off the top of the zucchini thinly. Cut into circles no more than 1 cm thick. Peel the potatoes and cut them also into circles, but only now very thin so that they can cook in the oven. Place the potatoes in a deep plate, and then add salt and mix thoroughly with your hands.
Step 4
Prepare a potato dressing. To do this, add sour cream, mustard, pepper and other spices that you like to the same plate. Mix everything thoroughly with potatoes so that each circle is greased.
Step 5
Now take a large baking sheet, line it with foil and lightly apply vegetable oil over the surface (you can use a silicone brush).
Step 6
The casserole is formed in the following order: first put half the potatoes, then half the zucchini (they need to be lightly salted on top and not put tightly together), then the finished ventricles / hearts with onions, then the remaining potatoes, and the zucchini will be the final layer (again, don't forget to lightly salt).
Step 7
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and place the baking sheet for about 25-30 minutes. Focus on the potatoes: they should be ready (or almost ready, because the casserole will be in the oven for another 5-10 minutes).
Step 8
While the dish is baking, grate the cheese and sprinkle it over the casserole after the time indicated above. Place in the oven for another 5-10 minutes until a crust forms. The casserole is ready.
