Braised pork goes well with a variety of ingredients such as rice, mushrooms, fruits and nuts. Pork cooked with vegetables is especially tasty, tender and aromatic.
One common way to cook pork is with a recipe that includes a product like potatoes. This dish is suitable not only for holidays, but also for weekdays. To prepare this dish you will need:
- pork - 500 g;
- potatoes - 500 g;
- onions - 2 pcs.;
- carrots - 2 pcs.;
- tomatoes - 2 pcs;
- parsley, dill, basil;
- peppercorns - 4 pcs.;

Peel the potatoes, wash and cut them into cubes. Put the potatoes on the rooster, pour in the water so that it completely covers the potatoes, add salt, peppercorns, bay leaf and put on fire. Cut the pork into small slices. It is best to cut across the grain to make the meat softer.
To make the meat more tender, juicy and aromatic, you can marinate it in advance. As a marinade, you can use lemon juice, kefir-based liqueur, soy sauce, dry wine, mineral sparkling water.
Fry the pork slices in a skillet with a little vegetable oil. Add finely chopped onions, carrots, grated through a coarse grater to the meat, and simmer for ten minutes over low heat.
Transfer the pork and vegetables to the duck and potatoes and continue to simmer for forty minutes. A few minutes before cooking, add chopped herbs and spices to the roaster. Leave the dish covered for ten minutes before serving.
Pork stewed with white cabbage turns out to be very tasty. To prepare the dish, you will need the following ingredients:

Cut the onion into thin half rings and save in a frying pan with vegetable oil. When the onion is browned, add the carrots and chopped mushrooms to it and fry for ten minutes. Add tomato paste and a small amount of meat or chicken stock to the skillet. Continue simmering for about five minutes.
To make the pork even tastier, peeled chestnuts can be added when stewing. They not only add flavor, but also make the dish more aromatic.
Thinly chop the white cabbage, add salt and place on top of the fried pork. Put the tomato sauce with vegetables on top of the cabbage, add the bay leaf, add salt and pepper if necessary. Cover the saucepan with a lid and simmer for fifty to sixty minutes. Sprinkle with chopped herbs before serving.
